About Me

me

My name is Tanisha Kalipersaud and I am a senior at the University of Florida. I am majoring in communications and media society. This site is for my senior project and to show my ability to create a website, specifically for an NBA team.

I have always loved watching and playing basketball. The game is so exciting, but aside from the excitement, basketball is more than a sport, basketball represents so much more. It represents, integrity, honor, the ability to be on a team and work together. There is so much that goes into basketball and I want to part of every second of it.

So why Golden State Warriors? Out of all the teams in the NBA – why do I love GSW? I’m not from the Bay area and a lot of people look at it this way…where you live – represent that sports team. Representing your city. I totally understand that but that shouldn’t be the only reason you represent a team.

The Golden State Warriors truly play like a team. They play in such a way that kids can look up to them and learn how to play the game unselfishly and how important every guy on your team is. The players are what makes a team – and each and every GSW player – knows their teammates and throughout it all they manage to stay humble. It’s always a team effort for GSW, they embody the word TEAM.

Another great thing about this team and why I love them – the unbelievable amount of support they give to each other. Have you ever seen their bench loose their mind whenever one of their players makes a great play? It’s amazing to see. Not only do they know how to have fun, they also know how to support one another.

From the coaching staff, to the bench, to sharing the spotlight while on the court – this team are the right role models for anyone striving to be in the NBA/WNBA. That’s why I love them and that’s why they’re my team!

Here is a picture of my siblings and I at the Golden State Warriors game against the Orlando Magic on December 1st, 2017.
